Having met at Bible College in 1998, Gav & Janine married in 2001 and became Youth Pastors at a church in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, where they served on leadership until 2015.

In early 2015, they and their two children, Olly & Mimi, moved to C3 Hope in Sheffield where they served as Assistant Pastors and were involved in overseeing many of the church’s ministries.

In 2020, Gav & Janine were asked to move to York to take on a C3 Church plant, but due to Covid, it ended up taking just under two years to make the move. However, in March 2022, they finally arrived and relaunched the church with a handful of people.

Since then, they have seen C3 ARISE grow into what it is today - a vibrant C3 local church full of life, hope, and joy.

Gav is now also the chaplain at York City FC and York Knights RLFC, and if often seen cheering on the lads at both home and away games.

Janine works for York Schools & Youth Trust, spending most of her days in local Primary or Secondary schools delivering an assembly, lesson or lunchtime clubs.
